Greetings & Proposal Submissions Open Until May 1
The STP&A Board is excited to share that the submissions portal for conference proposals is now open, as well as more details about the upcoming 48th Social Theory, Politics and the Arts conference.
We are also excited to announce more ways to connect with STP&A! Please read on for details about an upcoming session on April 12th hosted by STP&A’s Membership & Communication’s Committee to answer questions about the conference proposals process and to welcome newcomers to the STP&A community. The STP&A Board is also excited to announce the launch of the new STP&A LinkedIn group. We invite you to join us on LinkedIn for sharing updates about STP&A, and for making more connections and sharing more highlights of the STP&A’s community’s contributions.
We are looking forward to a vibrant and intellectually rich conference in December, and to receiving your conference proposals by May 1st [ send yours papers from here ]. Please keep in mind that those who submit paper proposals to the conference that are ultimately accepted and presented at the STP&A Conference may submit their full papers for consideration to the Journal of Arts Management, Law, and Society’s special conference issue by February 2025.

Emily Mulcahy Student Research Award. For students who do not hold faculty positions. Award is determined from reviews of written research work and conference presentation.
Mulcahy Emerging Scholars Award. For pre-tenure faculty and early scholars. Award is determined from reviews of written research work.
STP&A Conference Scholarship. For graduate students and emerging scholars who may have minimal funds to support conference attendance.
Reserve Lodging Acommodations Early
There are several hotels within the vicinity of the primary conference venue site--Escuela Universitaria de Osuna-Universidad de Sevilla Osuna, Spain. There is no official conference hotel. However, the local host committee in coordination with the Office of Tourism in Osuna has arranged group pricing with several hotels.
Find rates and instructions for booking these accommodations here. December is a busy season for Osuna, so please book early. The local hosts suggest Casona Calderón and Marqués de la Gomera as two of the more desirable locations.
